Empty capsules for enteric medication delivery. Enteric capsules only dissolve in a non acidic environment bypassing the stomach and releasing in the intestine. This is beneficial for products that are harmed by stomach acid e.g. probiotics, or products that irritate the stomach or where a delayed release is required as they will typically dissolve one to two hours after ingestion only after they reach the alkaline environment of the small intestine.

Capsule only dissolve above pH 5.5.
