Picamilon is a formed by combining niacin with GABA which helps it cross the blood–brain barrier where it can be hydrolysed into its parts providing GABA and Niacin. GABA by itself can’t do this and so orally taking GABA supplements is not very effective at actually increasing GABA levels in the brain.

Note: Picamilon (Cas No: 34562-97-5) and Picamilon Sodium Salt (Cas No.:62936-56-5) are often sold interchangeably as just 'Picamilon'. The only real difference is the salt version has a smoother texture and dissolves more easily, other than that they work the same. This is Picamilon (Cas No: 34562-97-5).

Long term use: Picamilon has been found to have low toxicity, and not cause any permanent changes at even many times recommended levels.

Serving Suggestion: 50-150mg.
